WriMo ReWrites: Self-Editing

NOTE: DATE CHANGE!  It is now the 9th, that is, SUNDAY.

You've got a manuscript, now what? Learn tools that will help you begin cleaning up, straightening out, and polishing up. Bring 5 pages of double-spaced fiction prose.

------------------

Who:
Anyone looking to improve their self-editing skills, particularly fiction.

What:
Our lesson will answer questions like,

• What is a beta reader and how do I find one?

• What do I need to do before I pass it on to a beta reader?

• What steps should I follow?

• When do I know it's ready?

Then, it'll be time to apply what you're learning to the sample you've brought. Work alone and then in small groups, hunting down the stuff you can change yourself.

Bring:

Five pages of double-spaced fiction (or creative nonfiction prose).
