Princeton Arts & Entertainment!
We have changed our name and broadened our scope! Formerly “Princeton Area Film, Movies, Theater, Dining & Culture,” in late 2015 we changed our name to Princeton A&E to include all social arts, dining, entertainment, music, sporting and outdoor events!
This continues to be a great group and eclectic mix of men and women of all cultures, walks of life, mostly from 40 to 64. We have a common interest in social arts that include movies, theater, music, comedy, and dining events. We pride ourselves on not being “clique-y” and everyone is personally welcomed!
Movies: Film-wise, this group gives us the opportunity to screen a diverse selection of current, classic, notable, and memorable films in commercial venues, private venues, dining venues, film festivals, libraries, and screening rooms. It also provides a nice social environment to eat, chat and laugh, and an opportunity to discuss afterwards the films we see.
A&E: We also add to our schedule live performances, theater, comedy shows, concerts, readings, dining events, museum walks, game nights, and other cultural activities that we find interesting for our group. We will soon add a new co-organizer who will schedule concerts, jazz nights, dance, and other wonderful music events.
Social and Dining: Our dining series are always amazing, be it Asian, Italian, Ethnic, Pizza, Diners, Great Finds, etc. Of course, we will continue these and add some interesting Happy Hour events every so often!
Active Outdoor Events: We welcome Louise as co-organizer and she will be adding to our calendar some interesting walks, hikes and other fun outdoor active activities. These encompass beach outings, sporting events, spectator sports, etc.
We collect $1.00 from each member at our events to help defray the costs of administering and operating this group.
Our History ~
We have been around for almost SEVEN years, and over 800 events! We have a proven track record, and that's because of the diversity of our events and the wonderful membership that makes them so much fun!
#1: We have a photo policy. If you don't have a photo of yourself attached to your Meetup profile, you won't be admitted to the group. (That means no cats, dogs, boats, monuments, flowers, etc.).
#2: You must have a valid name on your Meetup account, not things like "Dragon Lady" or "Rover's Dad." You don't need to post your full name, and I actually encourage you not to. But please put your first name up there, and if it's a common one, add a last initial, i.e., Jane D.
