OPTIONS! OPTIONS! SLOW PACED, SHORT RIDE
First, Please leave your car parked at Roy Gomm. Parking is limited at Buenos, Thanks
Mishelle and Amy have offered to lead a SLOW PACED, short ride for the Yellow Jersey Party. That ride will leave Gomm at 9:30 and cover about 10 miles at an 8 to10 mph pace. The ride will go out to Mogul then return, almost no climbing. This will be a "no drop" ride with a leader and a sweep.[And then Food] Doesn't get better than that!
Proper Attire: If you do not have a Yellow Jersey, the "yellow" on your Pedalers jersey will suffice.
This is our annual YELLOW JERSEY PARTY to celebrate the finish of the Tour de France.
Let's get together and lie to each other about how we picked the winner, of the Tour, weeks ago.
We will do our usual Verdi ride AT 8:30 and then meet at Buenos Restaurant , at McCarran and Mayberry, at 11:00. Buenos opens at 11:00 and has a couple of small televisions on which we can watch the tour. Of course, we will know the winner by then.
The Pedalers Club will buy the Chips and Guacamole.[Other menu items will be available for purchase]
Wear a YELLOW JERSEY!
Please RSVP if you coming, do not RSVP if you are not.
Ride Rating: 3L to 3B
A venerable classic in Reno that goes West to Verdi and back from Reno with no traffic lights. A great ride for all levels of cyclists. Climbs are easy with the exception of two short, steep sections. The ride is for riders who are not too fast and not too slow. It is more a social ride than a fast paced training ride. Regular ride leaders will not drop you. If there is no leader with a sign up sheet, the ride is not a Pedaler event.
This is not a "no drop" ride but there will be regroups along the way.
The ride leaves at the posted time, please be signed in and ready to ride at that time.
Please RSVP only if you ARE attending
Review the map/route sheet provided, to help you determine if you are comfortable doing this ride.
Check the Meetup posting a couple of hours before the ride, to make sure that there are no changes.
If you have questions about the ride or route, contact the ride leader.
