This is a four-week series that started Sunday, August 3rd.
For August 17th we will be learning a couple of important skills for use on the trails. We will practice these skills in an urban setting at Idlewild and I would like to put the new skills in to practice directly after the class at the Callahan Ranch Park trail. You are not required to attend both the practice and the ride but it will be most beneficial to you to put your new skills to use as soon as possible. The ride at Callahan will take apprx. 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The skills training will take about an hour to go through and practice.
THESE CLINICS ARE INTENDED AS A SERIES THAT DEVELOP SKILLS ACCUMULATIVELY. PLEASE JOIN US FOR ONE OR ALL, THE BEST RESULTS WILL OCCUR IF YOU START AND FINISH ALL FOUR.
The curriculum of these clinics will change slightly based on the previous knowledge of the riders as a whole. We won't be doing anything that is too challenging for the riders, but may add a few things to the mix. The ride location will also change so we can progress. Please check the Meetup site every week for most current information.
This clinic is specific to mountain bikes. If you have any question as to whether or not your bike is suitable, please contact Amy, the ride leader.
The topics for each class of the clinic series are listed http://files.meetup.com/3167292/Procrastinating_Pedaler_mtn_clinic.pdf
Please RSVP only if you ARE attending; DO NOT RSVP if you are not attending.
Helmets are required and bikes should be in good working order.
Review the information provided at the link above to help you determine if you are comfortable doing the rides. If you have questions about the rides or routes, contact the ride leader.
The ride leaves at the posted time; please be signed in and ready to ride at that time.
Check the Meetup posting a couple of hours before the ride, to make sure that there are no changes.
