ProductTO is a meetup for anyone working in product management.
Each month we'll choose a topic to discuss in small groups of 10-12 people. We'll start with some introductions from the people that will be facilitating the group discussions. You'll then get to choose which group to join. We'll try to wrap up the group sessions by 8pm, but it's not uncommon for folks to mingle and carry on conversations afterwards.
Previous topics have included:
Informed Product Decision-Making
Collaboration and process between product and design
User Testing and Feedback
Experience maps and user journeys
Features, Priorities, Backlogs & Roadmaps
Expect small-group conversations about business, tech and UX.At each session product managers bring their insights, ideas and challenges that they've experienced in their roles and share them in discussions with experienced peers. You'll leave with solutions, ideas and new connections.
Before your join... This is a peer-based group, which means it's important we know a bit about you. Make sure you fill out your introduction and profile questions. Please also make sure your profile has a clear photo of yourself. Full names and a Twitter or LinkedIn profile are a big help. If you don't do this, it will be difficult for us to review your application and it is unlikely to be accepted.
Due to the format of the Meetup - small-group discussions to share problems and learnings from practising Product Managers - we accept applications solely from those with direct experience. We see many applications from Developers, Design/UX specialists, MBAs and people of all walks looking to break into Product Management as a career. We always welcome future applications once you have secured a role, and in the interim we highly recommend the ProductTankTO and ProductHuntTO Meetups as a more open forum for general product learning
Applications can take a week or two to be approved. If you have a complete profile and clear background in product management then this will expedite the process. If you are still waiting to be approved then it maybe because your application is incomplete. Feel free to get in touch to provide more information.
