Product Bash 2013 - The Intersection of Brand and Product Management
Product Bash is Brainmates' special end of year Product Talk where we invite Product Managers and Product Marketers, our clients (and future clients) to get together, have a drink and discuss war stories for the year gone by. This year we are have some special guest speakers who will discuss “The Intersection of Brand and Product Management”.

And our special guest facilitator for the Panel discussion is Dr Bruce Perrot, Director of Postgraduate Programs, University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
A short bio of Dr Perrot and the Panellists is below:
Dr Bruce Perrot
Dr Perrott is the Director of Post Graduate Programs at UTS and has over twenty five years experience as a senior strategy consultant. His clients include American Express, Lend Lease, CISCO, Coca Cola, Westpac, Orica, Fuji Xerox, Medibank Private, and many other Australian brands. He frequently conducts public seminars on strategic management, Board governance, brand equity strategies and marketing accountability at Board level.
Sue Klose is Chief Operating Officer for 12WBT, an online health and fitness company affiliated to one of the biggest brands in the Australian fitness market, Michelle Bridges. Prior to joining 12WBT, Sue was a Partner at Venture Consulting, an independent strategy consultancy, specialising in media, telecoms and digital.
Sue previously worked in senior management roles at News Limited and the Tribune Company based in Chicago. In addition, Sue has held board roles on CareerOne, Getprice, Wego and Carsguide.
Bree Moody leads new market development for global publishing and technology company LexisNexis. In 2012 her products saw LexisNexis listed as BRW’s 12th most innovative Australian company.
For the past 12 years, Bree has held senior leadership roles in strategic business development, marketing, product development and project management divisions for major legal publishing and technology providers. She commenced her career as a law graduate in the Energy sector, with a focus on Competition & Consumer law.
Dan Ratner is the Managing Director of branding and communications agency, Uberbrand. The agency helps organisations across a variety of sectors, including financial services, travel and education, in every aspect of their brand from brand identity development and design to tone of voice, messaging and communications.
He has more than 15 years’ experience in marketing, communications and branding. Dan recently authored the book ‘Be the Frog,’ a book that explains branding in a few simple concepts that everyone can understand.
Adrienne Tan is co-founder and CEO of Brainmates, a Product Management consultancy and training firm that has been in operation for 10 years.
Prior to Brainmates, Adrienne worked for the Microsoft Network, Telstra BigPond and AUSTAR in various senior positions.
Adrienne has a Masters of Economics from The University of Sydney and, along with Nick Coster, has contributed to ProdBOK and co-authored a chapter in the book Digital Experience Design.
Nadine Slama is Marketing Manager, Brand Development at Unilever for brands including Flora and
Bertolli. Part of her role is to develop the category strategy including brand and product roadmap, new mix development as well as creation of communication and pack design.
Prior to joining Unilever Nadine held senior marketing roles at international media company Bertelsmann, Faber-Castell and Google Australia.
