Product Tank 9 - James Burr on developing winning strategies

Product Tank 9 takes place on Tuesday 27th August at 6.30pm and we put one of our own members, James Burr, in the spotlight to talk about Developing Winning Strategies for products and services.

James is an Engineering Manager with Selex ES in Edinburgh and was previously a Product Manager with Agilent Technologies. With 30 years experience in the high value capital purchase B2B sector, as well as engineering, marketing and business qualifications, James will explain how to understand your current situation, establish a strategy, set goals, and ensure you have stakeholder support to execute your plan.

The usual format with a talk and Q&A, then beer and pizza and plenty of time for informal discussions. For those keen to continue the night, we'll head to a pub around the corner.

Many thanks to James, Hillary and everyone in Skyscanner supporting this gruop.
This was my first meeting in a while after spending time over in Colorado in the summer - and while there is a lot of develpment going on over there they really don't have anything going like this group - even down in Denver! Lets keep it up.

Compelling community and experienced speaker - discussion was useful to expand on views that every product / business position is different and approach to securing winning strategy will differ across different types of businesses,

Very good, covered a lot of ground, but summarised nicely. Left me feeling like I am lacking in cohesive strategy in my own role!!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
