Inaugural ProductTank SF

  • May 16, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

ProductTank is a global meetup for product people, by product people, and we're finally coming to San Francisco!

Join us for an informal evening with a few short talks and plenty of beer to start the conversations, sharing and learning with other product people!

Tom Chi, Founder, Voltaic Labs

Tom was previously an Experience Lead for Special Projects at Google X, where he led the design work on Project Glass. Tom has a rich background, having worked as a Designer, Product Manager, Developer, and Consultant. He was a key design driver on many products, including Yahoo Answers, Yahoo Search, Microsoft Outlook, and several other enterprise applications. Tom is also a co-creator of OK/Cancel, mentors social entrepreneurs around the globe, serves as VP of Product/Experience of Gigwalk, Co-founded Mango Labs and is an angel investor & advisor.

Andy McLoughlin, Co-Founder/EVP Strategy, Huddle

Based in San Francisco, Andy manages Huddle’s growing U.S. presence and is responsible for corporate development and product strategy. Andy has guided Huddle to become one of Europe’s most awarded and well-known technology start-ups. Since launch, he has been responsible for a number of business areas including technology, product development, marketing and business development.

Mikkel Svane, CEO & Founder, Zendesk

After an inspirational trip to San Francisco in 1995 Mikkel launched what was one of Denmark’s first horizontal community portals. Less than a year later the portal was acquired and Mikkel founded Caput, a software company specializing in standard software components for community building and social networks. He then reunited with former friends and colleagues Morten and Alex with whom he founded Zendesk and launched it in October 2007.

Mikkel and Andy will be holding a fireside chat about their products' evolution and how they both went international.

A huge thanks to Zendesk for hosting
and providing the food and drinks!

Really enjoyed the evening. Great start and looking forward to more!

For those who were not able to attend, a version of Tom's presentation is also a TED-Ed talk on rapid prototyping.

The first speaker, Tom Chi, was great. A very interesting and useful presentation. I would have like to hear about product management from Martin Eriksson and the ProdPad team, especially since they came from so far away.
