What is the most common buzzword LinkedIn reported on their site in 2011 and 2012? Creativity!

Creativity is not just about art or coming up with ideas that are novel and valuable. It’s about the resources inside you as a consultant that make you unique and potentially really great. Creativity is essential for success and contribution within your own business as well as services to your clients, yet evidence shows that our creative capacities are educated out of us or shut down beginning at an early age by experiences in our personal lives or social norms, and later by corporate culture. Organizations are struggling to figure out how to foster creativity.

At our October 10 meeting, you will have an opportunity to engage in a creative exploration to look at your own creative resources, see how your creative process works, and learn what it takes to live up to your unique creative potential and how that can translate to your consulting business.

Speaker Bio:

Susan Jamison is CEO of CLUE Institute which she founded in 2009. CLUE helps professionals unlock their personal creativity in a focused and systematic way so they can build lasting personal effectiveness and organizational capability. CLUE is an acronym meaning Creativity: Learn, Understand, Embody. Her flagship offering is a 10-week program and she conducts workshops on a variety of creativity topics.

Before starting CLUE, Susan worked at IBM for 17 years, Sun Microsystems for 14 years, and consulted internationally for 2 years. Susan consistently has worked with senior executives on organizational vision, learning, and leadership projects, and with teams to bring out their creativity and build capability.

Susan has a BA in Sociology from Stanford, and an MBA in Finance, Accounting, and Organizational Behavior from UCLA.
