How long have you been writing or interested in writing?
I've been writing since I was ten.
What are your goals as an author?
To write and publish short stories and poetry.
What are you looking to get from the group?
Fair and honest critique that is not mean spirited. I think there should be rules for critique. I don't think that you should be able to say anything you like about someone else's writing. That usually leads to trouble. I feel that it is very important, no critical, that a critique should start with the positive.

We are a diverse, laid back group that is passionate about reading and discussing books that are not best sellers but have resonated through time. Our standard is Cervantes' Don Quixote. Welcome, James. If you plan on submitting short fiction, I do ask that you cut your pieces down to about 10 pages. 12 is fine as long as the other posters pieces are short, but 25 would not leave any time for anyone else. Other than that, I look forward to reading your stories!
