Marlene - I think this is a good change for our meeting:
"Due to the size of the group, we will be using a conference room at the same location instead of in the coffee shop. Enter the coffee house and just follow the signs, they will lead the way."

Karen is a font of knowledge about social media and she's a Twitter queen! This presentation should be great!

A couple of suggestions after attending the last presentation.

It would be helpful if you verbally directed your cursor around the screen as you clicked buttons to navigate. It would be easier to follow and remember.

Also helpful is coming with a basic outline. I've noticed that often at informal talks, a presenter that has a lot of knowledge, feels they can just "wing it". If a key button or category isn't brought up during the question period, they could be missed altogether.
    Thanks!

    Hi Karen,
One area of Twitter that is relatively new is LISTS. I hope you will cover lists, including creating, using, following, one's own vs other twitters' lists, etc.
    Thanks,
    Sara

Good idea Sara. You've probably got it laid out already, Karen, but I second the List idea. If not this time, then next? Ev

Re: Twitter lists. I will mention this lis feature. Given the short time, I won't get into it much as this talk is targeted to beginners. However, if most of the audience, like Sara and Evelyn, has a bit more experience, I will spend more time on it. Otherwise, I will host an intermediate Twitter class another time.

Thanks much Karen! - with so much to cover I appreciated how organized you were and how you stayed on track. Taking the approach of showing how the mechanical features of Twitter could be used for positioning and building our business was particularly helpfull. Because we were late in starting we didn't get to the reaching out to new customers portion. Is there a way other than trolling our followers?
    Thanks again!

Evelyn, Debbie and Marlene, Thanks for your comments and high ratings of my Twitter talk today. It was a delight.

Charlie, here's an article about how to build your following http://mashable.com/2009/07/02/twitter-people and and you can also use:http://search.twitter.com. Out of Twitter directories, I like Twellow - mentioned in this article.

Karen does a great presentation is organized and knowledgeable. Her information is current and easily understandable. Very approachable for questions after also.

Twitter Basics: Karen was able to start from the beginning of Twitter and actually cover enough that newbies can start to use it. There is so much to cover it is hard to get across what it's all about. She was able to do that very effectively. Even though I'm experienced, she gave me some more tips and ideas on how to improve. A series of classes with her would be wonderful for anyone to take! Thank you, Karen!

Not only was Karen's knowledge of Twitter outstanding; she has the gift to 'teach' her knowledge in away that is understood easily. Her format, including slides and hands on demonstrations were easy to follow. I plan to sign up for more of her classes. Excellent presentation. Debbie Melnikoff, 'Third Wave Career Coaching'
