I have been a community organizer and peace activist and currently work in environmental health, but I'm passionate about human rights, peace and social justice, climate change, and economic reform.
I'd like to have a variety of events - here are some thoughts - for example, scheduling a movie such as, "The End of Poverty"; a tour of the David Brower Center (gorgeous new building in Berkeley, one of 12 building in the US certified LEED platinum), then adjourning to a bar near UC Berkeley campus; maybe an informal dance lesson followed by dancing; meeting up to hear John Perkins (author of 'Confessions of an Economic Hit Man') when he speaks in the SF Bay Area.
I started this group to meet the most interesting people in the SF Bay Area, those of us who are passionate about the world and doing something about it! That would be you?
It's an intelligent and fun group of people with a wide range of interests and activities. You can make network, make friends, have great conversations, sign a petition or two if you feel like it, and who knows - maybe meet someone special....
