Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd give you some more info about the Bill McKibben event Saturday - will be fun and very thought-provoking. Bill has been called "probably the nation's leading environmentalist" by the Boston Globe, and MSN named him one of the most influential men of 2009. His climate change organization, 350.org, created the largest coordinated rally in history, with 5200 demonstrations globally. After being president of The Harvard Crimson newspaper in college, he went on to write what is considered the first book for general audiences on global warming, The End of Nature, which was serialized in the New Yorker at the time.

So I encourage any of you who are still figuring out your plans - besides some great food and food for thought, I suspect the event will draw an enlightened and interesting group of attendees as well - so will be fun to meet new people too. I'll be happy to introduce you to anyone in the room of course....

Hope you can make it (and looking forward to seeing you if you are already on the yes list) -

Bill McKibben, Environmental leader?

Sumi
