So, since I don't play, I will leave it in your capable, artistic, talented hands to see which ones make the cut.

I do have more if you would like me to post, just let me know.

Best,

http://www.youtube.co.... Here is a video to the 1952 Vincent Lightning song. Pretty awesome, but I will have to sit that one out as far as playing. But I'd like to hear it, so it gets a vote from me!

I love that song -- maybe if that guy from Jersey comes back he can play it because he played another song like that as well.
He came with Paul Rasmussen last time (sorry if I spelled your last name wrong Paul!)

nice list Edie!

52 Vincent is a great choice... basic chords are not difficult... but the lead and the tempo/timing are a challenge... it has my vote for giving it a try.

california stars gets a thumbs up as well (i'm a big fan).

love rein o'er me... chords are weird and needs a capo... i play a few who tunes but not that one (not to mention, who would do the vocal :) not I, haha

I was playing along with "I will follow you into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie yesterday. That might be fun. It's capoed on the 5th fret and in the key of F (played as a C shape with capo on 5). Here's a link to the capo-5 version:

Just let me know which ones everyone decides to go with because I can print out a few copies of the lyrics so that people will know what the heck they are singing!

I'm 200% into playing Look at Miss Ohio by Gillian Welch (which golfo posted). I'll bring some copies of it.

Along the lines of the Grateful Dead (which I could really never leave out, I just had to find some with a lighter Jerry guitar influence)
