Lazy Readers - October

  • October 26, 2012 · 7:00 PM

If you want to be with friends Friday night discussing the latest everybody's learning about philosophy, politics, science, psychology, religion, history - and you want to learn something new:

For the nosy person who doesn’t have time to read it all but wants to know it all.

Bring whatever you've been reading, and come to discuss that and what everyone else is reading.  Subjects can include just about anything from the above list: fiction or non-fiction.  Books or blogs or articles .  Come to talk or come to listen.  No pressure, just friendly fun.

RSVP above now.
(It helps us know how to set up.)

We 'll give anyone who wants 3-5 minutes to explain what they've been reading, and another 3-5 minutes for everyone to ask questions and discuss.  We always learn a ton.  Come make new friends and learn something new about what they’ve been reading.  It's the ultimate information exchange.

We'll start out with a 10- or 15-minute topical discussion (no more than that!).

Enjoy an evening with old friends, and make some new ones.

Come at 6:45 p.m. to get a good seat, to get to know folks, and to enjoy some coffee/dessert/dinner.

I like it when there is a smaller group, since it more opportunity for deeper discussion.

Time limits will be used so everyone gets a fair amount of time the share/ask questions.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
