Relationship resilience: psychological lessons from relationship challenges

Ever had any serious intimate relationship challenges?
Challenges in intimate relationships can result in break ups or perpetual animosity. Alternatively they can be an opportunity to deepen our understanding of psychology.
This session will be led by Nic Malcomson who is a coach with an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology. Nic has been in an intimate relationship with his partner Angelika for 14 years, where he has consistently taken such challenges to broaden his understanding and practice of psychology.
His Master's research dissertation investigated the effectiveness of an online relationship conflict resolution method with 100 couples.

Nic (and potentially Angelika) will be sharing their personal and research based insights into creating resilient relationships in an interactive Pub Psychology session.
What were your greatest lessons?

Another suggestion for a longer, more understanding relationship.
Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, or for that matter ever, allow
your partner to start volunteering at an alcohol advice centre.
That decent Sauvignon never tastes the same when you are constantly
reminded of how many units are in the bleedin glass.

    Tee hee

    Great night. Thanks loadz

Thank you Nic, very interesting. Even though I expected something different I throughly enjoyed it - and we all know how difficult is to deal with broken expectations! :) -
I learned quite a few new things, thank you. I also suspect that my partenr too will be grateful I attended!

Hi Bibi, I look forward to seeing you. I'm not sure if I can right my relationship study integrity issue before this evening - but would really like to!
