In the block of presentations on 'How we know what we know', we covered so far Common sense and Culture, Science and Materialism, as well as Spirituality and Religion. In the last presentation in this series we will examine philosophy: is it useful, what can we learn from philosophy, and what about all these '-isms' (such as existentialism, Marxism, post-modernism)? Philosophy has changed the world many times, so you never know - it may change you too!

Wasn't able to make it to this one, but hopefully I'll be able to next Tuesday. I look forward to seeing you all again!

Would beg to differ that it's not the philosophies that have changed the world, but the actions undertaken under the aegis of said philosophies that have created the change.
Now I sound like a philosopher myself, damn!!
Missed me weekly fix of Pub Psycho’s, so look forward, as always, to Tuesday.
