Brownbag Lunch with Seth Godin: Rethinking the Publishing Industry

This location is shown only to members

We're thrilled to welcome bestselling author and marketing leader Seth Godin for a look at the future of publishing. He'll cover where we should head to address issues facing our industry and what you can do to stay ahead of the curve--vital information for everyone in our industry. To attend the event, bring your boss or a key player in the publishing industry (or your office!) who is open to taking traditional publishing and turning it on its head (remember to RSVP for +1 which would include your guest). We want innovative thinkers and action-takers to benefit from this seminar on transforming the publishing industry into all it can be!

Seth Godin is the author of 10 books that have been bestsellers around the world and have been translated into more than 30 languages. Permission Marketing was a New York Times bestseller, Unleashing the Ideavirus is the most popular ebook every published, and Purple Cow is the bestselling marketing book of the decade.

In addition to his writing and speaking, Seth is founder of squidoo.com, a fast growing, easy to use website. His blog (which you can find by typing "seth" into Google) is one of the most popular in the world. Before his work as a writer and blogger, Godin was Vice President of Direct Marketing at Yahoo!, a job he got after selling them his pioneering 1990s online startup, Yoyodyne.

Seth's classic book, Meatball Sundae, is about the intersection of traditional organizations and the new marketing. His latest book, Tribes, was published in 2008 and instantly became a New York Times bestseller. It redefines what it means to be a marketer today--it turns out that leading a movement is the most effective way to spread your ideas.

Find out why American Way Magazine called Seth Godin "America's Greatest Marketer."
