We have two fabulous dogs, a Golden Retriever, and a German Shepherd/Ridgeback mix. Ace, our Golden, loves swimming, chasing balls & frisbees, meeting new people, & hiking with his brother Toki, our German Shepherd mix. Toki is our curious observer of bugs & wildlife, enjoys exploring, running, & chewing bones/rawhides.
YES! My Golden will hold toys for small ones to tug. He doesn't engage in the game of chase, unless he's after a ball, or a stick in the water. Ace is VERY tolerant, but will (with a little growl or bark) indicate when he has had enough. Toki will play chase with another dog for long periods of time, especially with puppies, because they usually like to play like he does. When he is tired, he uses people as base, and comes to a dead stop between a person's legs, to take a time out.

All trails that get me and the dogs away from crowded areas. I prefer trails that have some access to streams & shade, and are well marked. I enjoy trails that are flat, but also those with some rise in altitude. You can see pictures of some of the places we went last year on my Facebook Page.
Hi! My name is Colette, and I live in Pueblo West, about 45 miles south of Colorado Springs. My husband and I moved here approximately 5 years ago. I am a retired Speech-Language Pathologist, now pursuing activities put "on hold" while working.
