Wow! Millset was incredible, especially after the rains! The grasses & trees were so green, with new growth everywhere. Wildflowers of every type & kind were abundant, including a few we couldn't identify. Our total ascent was 2810 feet, which is the most "up" we have ever gone on a single hike! There were a lot of downed trees that crossed the trail, which posed a challenge to both hikers & canines, but we all managed to find our way around the obstacles, & made it to the old rustic cabin which sits next to Greenhorn Creek. After we had lunch & rested a bit, we headed back. Although the thunderclouds circled us, they did not break, & kept the air cool for our return. Thanks much Bob & Sandy, Barb & Jill (who was visiting from Texas & is one amazing hiker) & Lucky for accompanying Ace, Toki and me on this 7 mile round trip adventure!
