Wow, what a day!

Despite all intensive planning, there were a few bumps and delays due to last week's snow and ice.

The cooler was supposed to be finalized a full week prior to grand opening; due to the conditions, the compressor wasn't able to be installed on the rooftop until after the snow cleared. This pushed things back nearly 4 days. The cooler was finalized and the bar installed on Wednesday/Thursday. This all pushed the receipt of stock back to Thursday/Friday.

We stayed up all night Friday, getting stock in place and in the system. Thanks so much to those of you who came out on Saturday...I know things weren't quite ready...

Saturday we opened the doors at 10 a.m. as planned. There was no ribbon cutting or formal celebration.

We continued to stock and label throughout the day; friends came in and helped, as well as a beer rep. In the afternoon, the rep conducted beer tastings for about two hours. The labels included items that are on the shelves at 99 Bottles as well as a few rare vintages from his personal collection (e.g., Wells Banana Bread, which is only produced once a year).

Best wishes,
-Tiffany
