Admission for the tasting event is just $5/person, and will be waived with the purchase of any additional drinks or merchandise.

Though not mentioned much in the media here, Ibaraki was pretty severely impacted by the horrible earthquake and tsunami in March 2011, and the recovery and rebuilding process is ongoing.

The group of local business representatives we'll be hosting on 1/24 has adopted a slogan that we roughly translate as "Hang in there, Ibaraki!"

We hope you'll join us in supporting the amazingly resilient folks of Taiko's home region.

I never got an answer to my earlier message....What is the name of the building where we will be going, and is there ample parking?

I'm sorry Maria, I missed your question. The business is called Sake Nomi. I'm not sure what the building's name is, but its in the Pioneer Square area of Seattle, near the corner of 1st Ave and South Washington Street. Here's a Google map link to the site: https://maps.google.co...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
