What is your main reason for joining the group?

My main reason for joining is to meet and talk with people who also have puppy mills animals, or are passionate about animals. I am passionate about educating people to the perils of adopting dog store animals. I also joined because my baby Delilah was born and raised in a puppy mill and was a breeder dog for almost 2 years. It is my responsibility, i think to do all i can to educate my self and help others have an awareness about what goes on in puppy mills. It is my responsibility now especially because of my love for her.

Please give us some background on your dog(s). Age? Where did the dog come from? What past training have you done with your dog?

I have 2 dogs Lola, (now age 2)whom I bought at a puppy store but i am happy that i did because I feel like I saved her as well. She was very sick when i bought her.It was only then that I began to research where she came from &where they all come from.this led me to my awareness of puppy mills &to my beloved Delilah! She is 3.I have her for a year. She was born& lived in a puppy mill for 2 years. duringt that period she bore many liters.she was saved bec Her millers were closed due to cruelty. she was pregnant& in starvation mode& through much patience& acceptance, she began to come to me after about a week.I had to actually go physically get her &hold her, pet her talk softly etc. &then she would run as soon as i put her back down.i trained her through gentle words& patience. she was wee wee pad trained very easily.she is still shy with many people but never with me! she is always by my side giving & getting an abundance of love.

Does your dog come from a puppy mill or hoarding situation?
