Our Gaura Nitai Center of Portland would like to welcome all Vaisnavas and Vaisnavis to hear the hari-katha of our seniormost Vaisnavi, Srimati Uma Didi.
Srimati Uma Didi is a disciple of nitya-lila pravista om visnupada Sri Srimad Bhativedanta Vamana Maharaja
and siksa disciple of om visnupada Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja.
Her param guru is nitya-lila pravista Srila Bhakti Prajnana Kesava Gosvami Maharaja, founder-acarya of the Gaudiya Vedanta Samiti, Godbrother and sannyasa guru of nityal-lila pravista Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja Prabhupada, ISKCON founder-acarya. In turn these two exalted pure devotees of the Lord are the disciples of nitya-lila
om visnupada Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura Prabhupada, the founder-acarya of all Gaudiya Mathas throughout India. Our non-sectarian Vaisnava heritage is founded upon and has been greatly preached throughout the
world by their tireless efforts. We can only see such a bright future by standing on the shoulders of such visionary giants as these in our humble efforts to bring Personalism to the Western world and end the reign of blinding Impersonalism.
Our Portland Gaura Nitai Center would like to truly represent all Vaisnavas and Vaisnavis from all organizations and individual backgrounds. Our policy is to respect and honor all seekers in the true spiritual search in suddha bhakti-yoga,
pure loving devotional service. We honor and worship the first rules of chanting the pure holy names of Krsna which states
the positive aspect as Param Vijayate Sri Krsna Sankirtana and the negative prohibition of "One should not criticize
or blaspheme those devotees who are endeavoring to spread the holy names of Sri Sri Radha and Krsna." These two
rules were intensely personified in the body, mind, words and actions of Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Sri Nityananda Prabhu.
