P.L.A.N.T. (Purposeful Learning Appreciating Nature Together) was formed by homeschool families that share the following goal:
To create a space where our children can enjoy the simplicity of learning together. To that end, although we do use technology and are surrounded by media and consumerism in our everyday lives, we hope P.L.A.N.T. activities and gatherings will allow us a break from that.
This group hopes that within this space homeschool families can make connections for support as well as opportunities to plan group activities. As parents, our role would be to help them achieve such a space by focusing on project based activities in nature. We come from different backgrounds but are inspired by but not limited to these educational philosophies and resources; Waldorf, Oak Meadow curriculum, Montessori, Right Start Math curriculum, Charlotte Mason, Earth Schooling, Acorn Learning curriculum and Reggio Emilia.
If you are looking for a place to rest and connect with other like minded homeschool families then please join!
Before joining please ask yourself these questions:
1. Do you and your child enjoy nature?
2. Do you aspire to make a rhythm in your home that helps form a natural flow in daily life?
3. Do you find the use of curriculum helpful?
4. Do at least one of your children fall with in 1 st – 5 th grade?
If you answered yes to all these questions then know that you are at the right place and we can not wait to meet you and continue on this homeschooling journey together.
