Summer Solstice Picnic & Drinks Social @ Richmond Green

Hi All,

Let's make the most of the summer by chilling out on Richmond Green.

Sorry but there are no games now, just food drinks and friendly company to relax over :)

We will be situated on the corner of Richmond Green where the 'The Cricketers' pub is. I'll be wearing a light lime shirt with black trousers.

I will be charging £1.00 to each person because I will provide all the bin bags, plastic sheets to sit on and spread the food on,  disposable plates/bowls/serviettes/cutlery/glasses etc. All you have to do is bring food/drinks for yourself and some to share. Could be something you have made, or bought from a super market, could be fancy or very basic. As long as it's edible cold since you are not allowed any sort of BBQ there (I've checked with Richmond council as to what's allowed and what's not).

I am aiming to bring home made Humous with celery/carrots sticks, Quiche, Samosas, and beer for drinks. It's totally up to you if you bring one type or multiple types of food, I just like going overboard :)

Later in the evening we can decide to go to a pub/bar for drinks, we usually end up in O'neill's. But we could check out Revolutions as I understand they have changed their weekend format and have some live music.

Perfect weather, well organised and very lucky! Gotta love the Saxophone player not far from us. Just added to the awesome atmosphere. Sanjay, you were a great host. Making sure you greeted everyone and checked up on everyone during the night encouraging people to mingle. And having the picnic items there just made it so much easier for the rest of us. I even enjoyed the game of Dodge Ball. Good laugh. Well done.

If you do bring cold drinks don't worry about them getting all warm fast. I'm going to try and create couple of boxes with cardboard boxes, bin liners and bags of ice.
