Intro to Command Line II

  • February 5, 2014 · 6:00 PM

Come and join us while we take another look at command line programming! We will review the material from the first command line workshop before diving into some guided challenges that will allow us to put our new skills into practice. Level up with in-depth looks at the uses of 'find', ‘grep’, and basic I/O with pipes (‘|’); we'll finish by using the command line to interact with remote locations, and by learning how to customize our command prompts, Pyladies style. (Participation in first command line workshop not required.)

This workshop is for women only.

I am stuck running errands tonight, so another spot opened up. I'm looking forward to getting the notes! (and have been back using Linux command line since the kick in the butt with the last session that command line really is something I know how to use).

Can't make this after all ---- working late. Maybe someone on the waitlist can take my spot?

I think I ate something bad, because my stomach is NOT OKAY. Will there be notes going out after, because I really wanted to learn that Twitter API thing! Super bummed (no pun intended).

Hi Angie, We don't have another CL 1 on the schedule, but I will be sending a recap email this weekend and we will go through a quick in-person recap at the start of CL 2 :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
