PyLadies January Workshop #1: git/Github

  • Jan 2, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

In our first January workshop, we'll learn about revision control and how to use git/Github to manage development in groups. If you've ever felt stumped by git, or have yet to master push/pull/merge on Github, this session is for you. If you are comfortable with git/Github or other revision control systems, please come and share your knowledge with the rest of the group. All levels welcome! This is the first workshop meant to help prepare us for our upcoming group projects!

Wonderful! Selena's a great teacher, the other attendees had awesome questions, and it was a supportive and engaging environment in general. I'm very glad I went!

Fantastic! We went over a lot in a short amount of time, but it was a really good overview. Thanks Selena!

Lots of info! I had no idea how much time we could suck up trying to learn the basics of git/Github. Wish we had gotten through more, but even my brain was a bit fried from a long day. Either way, it was SUPER helpful and you ladies sent me packin' with a great reference guide.

Hey Ladies - Is there going to be food at this event? Just wondering. Also I am gluten free, so if there is could you get something that I can eat?

Yes, we will have food--will make sure to have gluten free snacks too!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
