Join PyLadies for an all day introductory Django workshop at Spotify San Francisco!
Throughout the course of this hands-on workshop we will cover the basics of the Django web framework as we build a basic web application. Python beginners welcome and encouraged to attend!
NOTE: Men may attend as the +1 of a woman attendee.
9:00am - Optional: early birds for those who need help installing/setting up
10:00am - Doors open with coffee & breakfast
10:30am - Workshop begins
4:30pm-ish - Wrap up of workshop
4:30pm-5pm-ish - Lightning talks - open to all attendees! Show off your Django app, what you learned, or anything that can fit into 5 minutes!
5:30pm - Happy hour/socializing/networking at a nearby bar (location to be announced)
Requirements: Just bring your computer and power cord, and you're ready to go! This workshop is geared towards folks who have at least some experience with an object oriented scripting language like Ruby or Python. The workshop *will not* cover Python basics. If you would like to brush up/learn the basics for this course, we recommend you work through Learn Python the Hard Way.
