I'm Ryan, one of the co-organizers of PySprings. I'm a Colorado Springs native and have been involved in Python for 11 years. I mostly work on web stuff, but also enjoy graphics programming, machine learning and scientific computing.
My co-organizer Tim suggested we create one after PyCon 2011. As a Pythonista, I *had* to jump on the chance. I use python because I think it's elegant and beautiful.
I'd like for us to have a friendly, collaborative group that supports each other with all the general goals that we have. I'd especially like to have a friendly, diverse group that feels comfortable learning with each other.
I'm pretty good at facilitating self-organizing meetings and groups, so that's a skill that I'll bring. I also know the dark corners of Python well, and a lot of the more esoteric packages on PyPI (libraries for people to use).

Thanks Ryan. I had a good time.
