    Dear Python Quants,

For the upcoming "Python for Quant Finance" training we will for the first time use the Python Quant Platform that I briefly introduced during our first meetup.

Everybody will get access to a "very early version" of it and will have access to the IPython Notebooks we use during the training sessions.

Here the link to the the platform's page:

    http://quant-platform.com/

In addition, all participants will get a complete version of my new book "Python for Finance" (O'Reilly)

    http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920032441.do

as PDF (550+ pages, but still raw and unedited).

    Best,

    Yves

Since Felix Zumstein, author of the Python-Excel library xlwings (http://xlwings.org), will be in town for the meetup, he agreed to do a case study with xlwings during the training.

For all working with both Excel and Python, the interaction and integration of both technologies is of course something really important.
