Biosensors for health & healthcare

  • December 9, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Together with Health 2.0 we would like to invite you to the next meetup.

The rapid development of new, cheap and smart wearable sensors is now affecting both how healthcare can be performed and how we as individuals can measure our own health and well-being. Welcome to an evening of viewing and discussing new sensor solutions.

Annika Österdahl from Calmark will demo their innovative biosensor products, enabling easy measurement of asphyxia in newborn children.

Dina Titkova from Biosync Technology show us the stress-sensing bracelet developed at SICS, Swedish ICT.

Why develop expensive tele-medicine solutions when cheap and advanced video-game technology is readily available? Anna Thörnlund from Softonic will show how the motion sensors in Xbox Kinect are used for treatments and follow-up of patients in their homes.

We are looking for one other innovative sensor solution. Contact the organizers if you wish to demo.

More information will be posted soon.

    Hi Bengt,
the waiting list is administered automatically by the system and will add participants waiting in the order they have signed up when a seat becomes available.

When do we know if we get a seat? Another interesting meeting have now become avbl and I need to make a decision soon.

Hi, sorry that I can't attend. Sound like a really good meetup. I have been seriously looking at QS things lately; first at the QS conference in San Francisco last month where we lauched our beta-version of the M1nd sensor, then the big QS Meetup two weeks ago here in Helsinki (You guys must come and visit - its grown huge here) and finally the SLUSH startup event last week. I will be in New Zealand from the 4th December. If anyone knows keen biohack people over there I can meet and 'connect' to Scandinavia. Have a good Meetup, Gustaf

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
