Dharmacaris and regular meditators can also join us at 9 a.m. (optional), for early meditation.  Follow the board walk around to the glass sliding doors.

Join Our Mini Retreats** It's a great way to be nourished and to go deeper inside.  In our once a month mini-retreats you also have the chance to connect with the sangha (community), and have meaningful conversations in a peaceful and supportive environment. We have many long time practitioners and teachers that can share instructions on how to engage in these mini-retreats and answer questions.  It is not necessary to attend the full retreat program.  You can join any or all segments, as you wish!  This is a valuable opportunity to enjoy an ‘urban’ retreat each month (the last Sunday of the month), and connect deeper with your mindfulness practice.

Donation Only

The suggested fee is $20 for Partial or $30 for full Mini Retreat  **Free Passes are always available. No one will be turned away from Mini-retreats for lack of funds.  There are many ways one can get involved and support our community for free passes - please ask our Dharma Teachers.


This Mini retreat is a once a month opportunity to go a bit deeper with your mindfulness practice.  To examine your inner self and to grow spiritually.

A Note from Hae Kwang Sunim: It can be very beneficial to have a progressive, deep, rich spiritual / Zen meditation practice that steadily evolves and grows as you do.  To this end, might we suggest:

Doing a daily meditation (even if its 5 minutes, really!)

Then once a week - go a little deeper by joining our Meditation Centre for a bit longer meditation (i.e., Thursday nights at 6 p.m.)

Then once a month - go a little deeper by coming together for a bit longer meditation (i.e. Last Sunday of the Month for Mini Retreat)

Then once every 4 months - take a weekend, check-in, go even deeper, and get lots of one-on-one guidance by a teacher.  In our longer retreats, one also enjoys a chance to step away from the busyness of everyday life.

This 4-prong approach can definitely support a powerful and positive transformation in your life.  It provides the environment that enables a genuine and deep practice to take root and blossom.  It's not about being perfect... but with sincerity, we start to transcend limited thinking, unsupportive old patterns and confusing emotions.  Gradually the open heart and the deeper reality of oneness (and its compassionate actualization), are felt.

Through the practice, our natural state of being alive within the seamless flow of life is enjoyed more.  We live freer, clearer, kinder and more patient with ourselves and others.  As the practice evolves, our inherent wholesome qualities blossom within the unfolding experience of life’s interconnectedness.  This continuous practice brings radical insight leading to lasting transformation. Our potential blossoms.
