BUCKS COUNTY TO HOST APRIL 10 WORKSHOP:
“Tourism & Taste: The Perfect Marketing Combination”
On Wednesday, April 10, 2013, the County of Bucks Business Development Department, in conjunction with the Bucks County Commissioners, Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, and Pennridge Chamber of Commerce, continues their Small Business Workshop series with Tourism & Taste: The Perfect Marketing Combination. The seminar will be held at the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, 21 North Main Street, Quakertown, PA 18951. Networking and registration begin at 8:00a.m.; the program starts promptly at 8:15 a.m. and concludes at 10:30 a.m.
In Bucks County, Agriculture and Tourism play an ever increasing role in economic and business development. This presentation is designed for businesses and professionals involved in agriculture and farming; manufacturers of food, beverages, and local products; and the retail establishments that use and sell local and artisanal products.
Topics to be discussed by our roundtable will include:
· Connecting the growers with the users and the manufacturers with the sellers;
· Establishing relationships with farmers, manufacturers, and retail venues;
· Marketing local and artisanal products to businesses and consumers; and
· Best practices, challenges, and opportunities.
