My past experiments with QS: tracking my weight every day ( http://vimeo.com/31401743 ), working on product design with Buster Benson at Habit Labs (Budge, Health Month, etc), tracking "Learned/Done/Read/Accomplished" since 2007.
Learned/Done/Read/Accomplished (which includes books read, movies watched, nights sleeping out doors, climbs and adventures taken, and other extraordinary life moments). I also track my weight, days of writing in the morning, periods, yoga, bike commutes, and finances.
When I was eight I challenged myself to write two pages a day for a year - I decided that as a reward, I got to put a sticker in my notebook every 25 pages. Since then I've methodically been trying things to push my edges. I suspect it also has something to do with getting really into math and data visualization.
