Show & Tells
(1) Jeff Fajans - Jeff, a Claremont Graduate University studying Positive Psychology has started a research project examining the possible implications Quantified Self has on meaning in life, subjective happiness, and well-being. Jeff will share some of his own QS research using tools like PACO, Zeo, etc. and his discoveries.
(2) Brent Bushnell - Brent plans on showcasing some amazing work he and the Two Bit Circus team (Eric Gradman, Dan Busby) did on using sensors to track biometrics (featured on Exteme Makeover)
We have a change of venues for this month, and have been graciously hosted by Two Bit Circus (http://twobitcircus.com/). Two Bit Circus is a unique hybrid of engineers, creatives, fabricators and performers. Somewhere between an incubator and a think tank, the group focuses on bringing novel play into education, amusement and hospitality.
Directions / Parking
Two Bit Circus is located at 678 South Avenue 21, Los Angeles, CA 90031. A map with directions is available at: http://twobitcircus.com/directions/to-big-top/#day
There should be plenty of available parking right in the parking lot.
Food & Drinks
Food and drinks will be provided. In order to cover costs we'd ask that you consider making a ($) donation - a link will be provided on the meetup page to contribute via Paypal or you can donate in person. Thanks in advance!
