This group came about to fulfil the need that has arisen due to the recent dramatic rise in popular interest in Philosophical, Scientific and Spiritual circles with respect to the science of Quantum Physics, Chaos and String Theory, Extra Dimensions, Morphic Fields and the implications and views they sparks off in mainstream physics, medicine, cosmology, philosophy, psychology, sociology and spirituality.
The group meetings will consist of formal presentations by professional scientists, followed by open discussion and debate looking at Quantum Physics, Consciousness and Cosmology from the intelligent informed layman's point of view as well as for science and medicine graduates. The talks will remain true to the ancient broad definition of science ie: " Natural Philosophy" which will include speculative and theoretical science without undue mathematical abstractions unless totally necessary, and the talks and meetings will remain easy-going, fun, sociable, informative and inspirational. All people are invited, regardless of prior knowledge, whether they are interested in purely the scientific, philosophical, psychological, medical or the spiritual.
Some aspects of the mind and the manifestations of Order in the Universe lie beyond logical analysis. Some ideas and speculation may be outside the boundaries of mainstream science and into the realm of metaphysics and spirituality, and how quantum physics relates to Eastern Philosophies and Mysticism, and how some people believe that we can use these to heal and better ourselves and to exert influence on the future unfolding of the Universe.
Consciousness provides examples of unusual Quantum phenomena, defying the laws of classical physics and forming the basis of many Energy & Vibrational healing modalities.
