I began taking Spanish classes at UWM after adopting my child from Guatemala about 17 years ago, but I have not yet mastered the language and have been inconsistent in the study or use of the language. Now that my children are teenagers, I have a little more time to concentrate on it:)
I hear it everyday and try to use simple phrases with our staff when I'm able to think fast enough to use Spanish. I could use it everyday at school with fellow staff members.
This sounds like a fun way to become more comfortable in my very limited Spanish-speaking skills. Hopefully, this will help me in my job, where speaking Spanish is not required but a definite plus:)
