Pick your poison: which fiber arts/crafts make your world complete?

I'm a knitter, primarily, although I'm beginning to learn spinning and crochet.

How long have you been addicted to said poison(s)?

I've been knitting for 6+ years now. Learned how to cast on and make a knit stitch as part of a Girl Scout project, then taught myself the rest from books and YouTube videos.

Are there any crafts you'd like to learn next?

I'd like to learn to spin and dye my own yarn. But my great ambition is to start writing up my own knitting patterns

What are your hopes for this group?

I'm from Charlotte originally, but I moved away for a short while to live in Louisville, KY. I was part of a very active knitting group there, something I've missed since I moved back. My hope is that this group will provide a casual, welcoming atmosphere for making friends, expanding horizons, and pursuing our favorite hobbies!

I'm a 24-year-old graphic designer who just can't seem to put away the knitting needles. Other passions include books of every kind, movies with great soundtracks, and cheesy British television.
