Picnic in the park

Bring your own blanket or chair and your own food and drink. I will try and show everyone new stitches so bring scrap yarn and needles, some will be on hand but I can only carry so much. :) All of you need to make a wish list of things you want to learn so I can start planning short lessons for our picnics this summer.

For the knitters a big thing I'd like to teach you all to do is how to fix a stitch so make a swatch, any stitch loosely and bring a crochet hook to match your yarn. The thicker the yarn and the looser the stitch the easier it will be to learn.

For the crocheters I can show you the single crochet foundation chain or chain free crochet that I know some of you have had trouble with.

I will also have some scraps of the ruffle yarn that I can show you all the easiest and fastest way to make one. This newer way has you finishing a scarf in a little over an hour.

I'm sorry I have such trouble with getting up early enough to get there (it's a bit of a shlepp for me). Will be there one evening soon.

The weather yet again seems cold and damp with a chance of rain. How do we feel about next wednesday?

Hi, I assume since it's going to rain, we're rescheduling to next Wednesday, May 15?

I wish I was a morning person. I usually get up at 10 AM and add to that, getting from here to there....
I hope I can attend some of the PM-type meetings.

Already know I'll love this group since I've met some of you at Knit to Give Back.

Not all of my members work. We have a lot of retired and out of work members who are able to meet during the day. For those of you that do work we have evening and sunday meetings hopefully you can attend.
