You won't want to miss the Met’s hit production which stars the beautiful Anna Netrebko in the title role of the innocent young woman caught in an arranged marriage. Piotr Beczala -- who was a last-minute replacement -- became a Met star as her lover, Edgardo, and the sexy Mariusz Kwiecien sings her brother, Enrico, in Mary Zimmerman’s ghost-story staging.
There are food and snack vendors on the perimeter of the seating area and a cash bar at the rear (wine is $8 a glass). You may also bring your own picnic dinner and drinks.
The screening begins at 8PM when it begins getting dark, but seating is first-come, first-served. I will get there as early as I can to reserve enough seats for those who have RSVP'd "Yes" so we will have time to socialize, eat, etc. I will be carrying a Coolibar silver parasol.
This event is free, so the seats will fill quickly for popular titles.
This is a joint event with the New York Opera Meetup.
