Directions (Please consult Google Maps or Hopstop for accurate, up-to-date directions)

CONNER O'MALLEY - Conner moved to New York a year or so back from Chicago, where he was a force in the Annoyance Theater/ImprovOlympic world. Now NYC is lucky to have him. He is a fantastic improviser you can see at the UCB each Friday night with the Law Firm, he has recently garnered a lot of press for his antagonistic Vine account, and I can't wait to see what he brings to the table. (Fans of The Chris Gethard Show will recognize Conner O'Malleyas the tragic character known as The Beast Masturbator, cursed forever to masturbate beasts for the good of humanity.)

JOE MACHI - Every time I get to see Joe Machi perform, I find myself delighted to no end. I think he is 1) one of the nicest people in comedy, 2) a talented comedian who writes crisp, clear jokes in a way that makes me regret being a rambly emo storyteller and 3) has one of the most undeniably unique and enjoyable stage presences of all time. Joe Machi is not to be missed. You have seen him on late night television bringing laughs into your living rooms. I know a lot of people who follow me come from the improv or public access worlds, and I promise you if you are not acquainted with the stand-up scene, Joe Machi will soon be one of your favorites.

ANTHONY ATAMANUIK - one of my oldest friends and one of the most brilliant minds in New York comedy. I have been gleeful as I've watched Anthony become an undeniable monster in the UCB community in recent years. You can see Anthony improvise every Saturday night with Death by Roo, everySunday night in Asssscat, you have seen him tell dozens of incredulous true stories of his shameful past as part of both his solo shows and The Nights of Our Lives, and he hosts the always innovative and often truly bizarre The Tony Show at UCB East every Tuesday. Anthony has lately been running Sleep No More style parodies of movies from the 70s, because he rules. I look forward to seeing whatever my pal Anthony Atamanuik pulls out of his hat for this one. (Fans of The Chris Gethard Show may recognize Anthony as The Keeper of the Battledome.)

PAUL MECURIO - one of the best things about comedy is that people come from all different corners of this large universe, but when you link up with someone you like the only things that matter are funniness and kindness. Paul Mecurio has written jokes for Jay Leno, has won an emmy writing with The Daily Show, was seen on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn back in the day, and makes the rounds of many of NYC's most competitive clubs. He is from a different world than my alt-comedy performance-arty bullshit background. BUT - Paul did monologues at Asssscat many moons ago and we really clicked. Since then we've crossed paths many times, he's had my back so hard, and I am honored he's coming out to be a part of this evening.

MYQ KAPLAN - Myq is a powerhouse that you've seen perform many sets on various late night television shows including the fucking Tonight Show. He's also one of the most fascinating blends of comedian and philosopher I've ever had the privilege to know. He's kind and always has an interesting opinion or story and I'm glad he and I have become friends via this odd comedy world. He's also a writer of jokes with no extra fat, and I envy his wordsmith nature and ability to attack punchlines. One of the funniest people in the game and I'm lucky he's agreed to be a part of this thing! Myq Kaplan is not to be missed!

KATE BERLANT is one of the most innovative performers going, and she and I have both expressed mutual admiration for the work of one another, though we have never appeared on the same bill as part of a comedy show! On top of that, when I first met her I told her that I was hurt that she as a fellow comedian put a negative review of my book on It turns out it was not her - which means there is either another Kate Berlant in this world who hated my book, OR I misread the name, OR someone on is posing as comedian Kate Berlant and leaving negative reviews. NO MATTER WHAT, I SHOULD HAVE BEEN LESS BUTT-HURT and MORE GRACIOUS. Luckily for me, Kate Berlant is kind and forgiving and is going to be a part of this fine evening of comedy. If you haven't read the write up of Kate and her comedy in the New York Times, it's at and I suggest you get on that asap!
