Cathy is very knowledgeable and I feel if we paid her expenses at least she would come. I would cough up a fiver.

Brian, I take your point. Anarchism notwithstanding, we do need more hands on leadership. Perhaps the demands of anarchism could be met by having a different person chair the meeting every time.

Ian, we spoke together about the problem of uninformed newbies, but this is addressed if we revert to Cathy's excellent formula of deconstructing the news headlines in the first half of the meeting. This brings newbies up to speed, while keeping everybody else interested. By the way, perhaps we could invite Cathy back sometime to give a paid demo of her subject, preparing raw food cuisine.

I doubt if this continuing debacle is the result of an action by a troll. Leadership of a group of any sort is demanding even though you don't have to 'do' much. Magda has done a runner it seems and maybe the group should be closed and reformed at a later stage on a more focused basis. Lack of a focus is a killer in this pressured day and age. People don't do time wasting.

Its one of the rules of life that if you try to cater for everybody you cater for nobody. The David Icke group was clear and unambiguous in its objectives. We had a well informed and articulate bunch of people with whom it was a joy to be with.
Our previous mod left due to her views on David, in my view somewhat misplaced but for the new one to somehow 'double book' her own meet and not tell anyone that she had chosen not to attend is a resigning matter - at least have the decency to tell us.
Any group less than for star or five star is not going to survive so we either do our absolute best, or join the mindless consciousness moving towards the destruction of the human being. It's as simple as....
    Brian
PS I speaker as a networker and organiser of 40 years standing so I do have some experience to call on. I say there are too many entrails and the best thing is to close the group and start afresh. I would love to do it but alas Bath is too far away from London.

Hi Brian, you do indeed sound very experienced and you're not completely wrong in all that you say, just a bit bossy judgmental and a know it all, but no doubt you have good reason to say all that you say. Did you actually attend the meet up which I didn't manage to turn up to? I can understand your frustration if you came all the way from Bristol and the group seemed to be a messy hotch potch with no leader. Yes I'm very sorry about that one. It wasn't great on my part I admit....but I thought people would enjoy a social irrespective. I like ms ryan believe that anarchy has great merits. What may seem chaotic can actually organically enable a greater order to arise. Hahaha order out of chaos could be a good thing?

So sorry Everyone, I've been a terribly neglectful moderator of The Question Everything group. Let's have a meet up on Sunday 14th September. Is that ok with everyone?

yes I did one a few years ago, it was brilliant and the lady very knowledgeable. She is fully trained in all types of foraging and is an expert on mushrooms. She does discounts for groups who may not be able to afford full fees and charges just 30 quid for entire day. Might be worth seeing if we can get enough people interested in going on one of her day courses.

I think the group should go in this direction, perhaps inviting an expert like the lady you mention to be our speaker occasionally and everybody paying an extra pound to cover her costs. Some of us are impatient with just talking and want to do and learn things to make us more powerful and this would be a good way to go.

QUOTE:there are too many entrails and the best thing is to close the group and start afresh.
Sorry Brian, you are absolutely wrong. The group is changing and growing and that is always a somewhat chaotic process. We have a strong component of members who espouse anarchism and this gives rise to an appearance of disruption at times, but the group is alive and growing and this is definitely not the time to kill it off.

This group used to have so much potential. From what I could tell, they had new people join who talked them into changing the name of the group (the name used to include David Icke and because of this, it attracted truth seekers who 'got it' about the real world we live in). Since they agreed to change the name to 'question...EVERYTHING!' people started showing up who knew literally nothing about the topics listed on the left under "We're about:" Then the lady in charge of the group stepped down and now instead of truth seeking, the group is now food seeking it would seem... I can't say for sure that this once politically aware group of 'awake' people was steered off-course by 'Shills', but it certainly looked that way... Shame :-(

Thank you to whoever posted this event on this group. It's an interesting proposition for sure.

I remember that this food foraging experience has been offered before on this group. No cause for concern Everyone. No this group has not been hijacked.
