Glass Blowing

Designed for any person, East Falls Glassworks provides the tools, supplies and instruction needed to create both a solid sculpted paperweight and a blown ornament. These classes are a great way to get a feel for the way glass moves at 2000 degrees and have a fun and exciting afternoon at the same time. Each student will have the option of making one of these. After you make your own ornament or paperweight, the professional instructors will demonstrate how they create real works of art with glass! Then, join us afterwards for Dinner in Manyunk!

That was fun! When I picked up my paperweight, they had another class going, so the other class was psyched to see a "finished product".

Picked up my paperweight last night and I have to say it came out great ... from what I could see of some of the others, it looks like we should all change careers to being paperweight artists :) Here's hoping all your papers stay put on your desk!

I really enjoyed making a paper weight and meeting everyone. I did not get any pictures of myself doing the actual glass blowing. If anyone happens to have a shot of me please e-mail.

For all those looking on how to get there, go to google.com/maps and type in your address and then just "East Falls Glassworks" for the destination and it will tell you driving (hit the car symbol) or public transportation (hit the train symbol) methods to get there.

The class starts around 4:45 so we are asking people to get there around 4:30 so no one comes later - hope to see you all there.

Do we have to be at the Glassworks by 4:30? Or are there staggered classes/instruction? I wont till 4:30 on Sat but this sounds amazing!
