I am working on a project comparing the effectiveness of multiple machine learning methods for predicting bed exits in the elderly to help prevent falls and other adverse events. Methods include linear regressiuon, logistic regressinn, rue induction by recursive partitioning, multivariate adaptive regession splines (MARS), and evolutionary computing.
As a generality, I'd like to see intermediate-level material. There is ample material for beginners and for advanced developers, but a big gap in between.
After 31 years as Profesor of Decision Sciences at Georgia State University, I am now Director of Research for Frontline Healthcare Workers Safety Foundation.
