PayPal is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Global Marketing Analytics to join our Global Business and Marketing Analytics organization. This team focuses on providing customer and marketing insights, predictive modeling, and marketing database management to fuel innovative marketing and business strategies - including advanced web and statistical analysis to understand customer behavior and marketing effectiveness. The core responsibility of the group is to provide exceptional analytical insights and infrastructure to our internal business partners, as well as senior management.
Your responsibilities will include:
Use superb analytics and business judgment to identify, prioritize, structure and solve complex business problems
Drive to actionable insights and recommendations; communicate them to senior management
Lead and perform deep-dive analysis using analytical and statistical tools (primarily SQL and SAS) on very large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets
Learn, invent, apply and evangelize best practices regarding measurement of marketing effectiveness, especially internet marketing effectiveness and media mix optimization.
Ensure rigorous quality control over data, analyses and metrics, and organizational clarity and alignment for key business and marketing metrics
Manage multiple analytical projects at a time in a fast-paced, intense, results-oriented environment
Collaborate with marketers and regional marketing analytics teams to ensure alignment on project prioritization, actionability of insights and analytical/technical best practices

10+ years of experience analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional data sets and interacting with relational databases (e.g. Teradata) using SQL, SAS, R and/or SPSS
Knowledge of statistics (e.g., multivariate statistics, predictive modeling, controlled test design)
Analytical knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: internet marketing (including test & learn frameworks), multi-channel B2B and/or B2C marketing, web analytics (including A/B testing), and media mix modeling & optimization.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Masters degree preferred in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Mathematics
Experience with analyzing customer and marketing data in financial services, Internet, or a top-tier consumer-focused company (in technology, consumer goods or retail domain) a plus
Highest demonstrated performance at all professional and educational career stages expected
Demonstrated experience in helping a company adopt and benefit from an ambitious test and learn process and mindset. Experience in identifying and addressing critical data gaps necessary for successful learning
Masters Degree or Equivalent
