This MeetUp group will be a learn as you go at your own pace group.
I don't expect anything more than to pick your interest in being able to handle particular situations that may come to pass because of natural or man-made disasters, and how best to weather the storm out. That and maybe get you interested in learning new ways to stay in touch with the outside world in case of emergency situations. One thing you may like to get your hands on ASAP is a copy of the Boy Scouts EXPLORER SCOUT MANUAL. You may be able to find one on eBay for a rather good price. Worth every penny.
Ever think of becoming a HAM radio operator? Good idea.
What do you know about ORGANIC gardening?
Do you have an emergency survival kit in your car? In your house?
Do you own a generator yet? Should consider it.
Can you heat your home if the power goes out for an extended length of time?
Are you filtering your water good enough?
These are just a few things to consider before we get going.
Maybe you have a list of things you would like to know about.
Put a list together so you can remember what you feel is important.
Then be sure to ask when we get together.
