Sumptuous RAW Food Potluck with TRU Cuisine at El Dorado Park in Scottsdale!

Please join us to savor the delightful flavor of our first potluck of the New Year! We'll be full of sunshine for this event, which features a food demonstration in grand fashion by our very own Siegren Johnson, a stretching and meditation class with Ana Avila, a yoga class with Tamara Keneen, and then we'll experience deliciousness itself with a wondrous RAW food potluck!

Bring your family, your friends, and a RAW Vegan dish to share with our group, to Scottsdale's Eldorado Park (Miller & Oak), at the North East Ramada & Playground area, on 77th St, just north of the Soccer field. (map -->  http://goo.gl/8FJAv1

Come early at 11am for a demonstration and free raw recipes by author and Raw Chef extraordinaire, Siegren Johnson (aka Goji Girl), of TRU Cuisine. At 11:15 Ana Avila (aka Bravely Me), will be conducting a complimentary stretching and meditation class in the grass near the ramada. At 11:30 Tamara Kaneen, of 9 Dragons Healing Arts, will teach a short yoga class. She will also be giving all class participants a pass to use at her new studio.  If you would like to participate, please bring a mat or towel to sit on.

The potluck lunch will follow Tamara's class, around noon. We ask that you please bring your own plate (not platter, lol) and eating utensils, in order to cut down on the amount of waste we produce.

In case any one is driving in from west of Scottsdale Rd. McDowell Road is closed from 70 Street to Miller Rd (Scottsdale road is closed at McDowell). alternative is Thomas or McKellips Rd.

Would have loved to attend, already partially prepared the dish. Developed lower back problems, which resulted in sciatica nerve pain. Will take a while to heal, currently can barely stand and walking is tough. I hope there will be another Sunday Potluck. Have a great time!

Steve - please let people know how many our food contribution should serve - I suggest 10. What do you think? After all, we will have the scrumptious opportunity of tasting many other recipes!

I expect our members will be very generous with what they bring. This is an entirely different group/vibe than that other group...

In response to Michael Joseph's great suggestion that we label food that is organic and not-organic - has merit. However, I think that any item that doesn't have a hard shell or outer covering should be organic such as greens and berries because these items readily absorb pesticide. Let's ask Siegrid and Steve and others!

I've noticed the best way to get people to label their food is have paper/pen readily available for them at the event.

Steve, could you ask people to bring organic food - we used to do it for raw potlucks. After all, organic is safer and more delicious. Thanks.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
