RDU - Groovy Users Group (Grails, Griffon, Gradle, GORM) Message Board › Springers just became Grooviers!

Springers just became Grooviers!

Ernie P.
Raleigh, NC
Hello Grooviers,

In today's meetup of the Spring, Groovy, Grails Enthusiasts group, it was decided that we need to focus specifically on the dynamic language of Groovy.  There are many reasons Groovy is worth the focus of an entire group:

  • dynamic typing
  • runs on JVM
  • integrates with existing Java libraries
  • promotes readability
  • very useful tools created with Groovy

The next meetup is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, September 27, 2012 at a location in Durham.  Spring Source will be providing the food for that meeting as well.

I will post an agenda for the next meetup within a few weeks of the start date.
