You never know who or how many people will show up, because we always get some walk-ups. These events are all about RSVP momentum, if you RSVP then others will as well.

Contribute to the Group:
This event is free to attend, but may have cost your Organizer to setup. If you see a contribution jar, please feel free to show your appreciation for the Event Organizer and the group by leaving a contribution. Any amount is welcome. I wish that had not happened to you but I hope you reconsider coming back. I am still new but I am sure that these groups include all kinds of people and it sounds like you did meet some nice people that night. And there ar emore of us than there are of "them" I bet! The ladies who behaved badly only hurt themselves in the end. Really, most of us left that kind of c---- in high school.

Glad I was able to meet a nice group of people after the nastiest greeting by some self-important older "ladies". Will not be coming back-I suggest that the women ( I'm sure you know who you are) not attend a group where new people are invited since you do NOT know how to make friends or even show some manners. Sad for a first timer to have to leave this type of a comment, but others need to be aware of these ladies' behavior and newcomers need to be forewarned. Maybe start your own group? Here's a title-"Self-Important Civil Employee Bitter Old Biddies"? Hahha just a thought.

Must have been pretty hostile environ for someone (former member) to be brave enough to put her perceived sense of mal treatment into real words and then place them for all to read. I don't doubt her at all; I just wish the women (obviously they are listed here to the right in the photo lineup) involved had the fortitude to apologize to her. (not difficult see some of these women listed use some pretty awful monikers next to their names. Ick).

I’m very sorry this happened to you at your first meet up. I’ve experienced that type of behavior from the 1st meet up until recently. However, I will not let these cliques or women keep me from attending when I choose to go. I believe people like that have their own issues and I refuse to let them ruin my evening. I’ve gotten eye rolls, grunts and just walking away when I tried to have a conversation. I’ve met some very nice people and I would hate to have missed that experience because of others. I’m sorry I wasn’t there… I make a point of speaking to new members. I remember what that feels like. Please reconsider your decision.

Enough people to make it fun but not so many that you couldn't hear or enjoy it.

what did these rude ladies say/do? Ask them not to come back

    April 18, 2013

Unfortunately rudeness and bad manners are not isolated to one group. There are some in each group I belong to. I do hope that you won't judge all of us by a few bad apples. There are some great people in the group. You never know when you might find a real "jewel".

It was very nice. It is difficult to speak to everybody. Rick, you do a great job. I realize it requires a lot of time and effort. Thank you
